Rhetorical Appeals and Article Evidence

Ethos:  This article added the names of other non profit organizations that support the welfare of animals.  This is using  for E for example.  One place where this author uses this is when he says "One reason for the extremism is that numerous animal welfare groups, particularly ones such as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) believe that the use of force is appropriate because the 'ends justifies the means.'"

Logos:  Uses pecentages and numbers that help to explain more about animal testing. This is using S for statistics.  One place where the author says this is when he says "Since the 1960s and 1970s, protests increased a great deal although they have fizzled out somewhat over the last several years."

Pathos:  This article uses explicit writing to appeal to your emotions so that you feel bad for the animals.  This is using E for examples.  One example of when the author uses this method is when hw says "In animal testing, countless animals are experimented on and then killed after their use. Others are injured and will still live the remainder of their lives in captivity."

Why these could be persuassive:  This can be persuassive because when you see other websites that are credible, you know that they got information from these websites.  Also, you feel like you can trust someone when they use facts that are correct and contain numbers.  Lastly you can be persuaded by explicit writing because it is descriptive and you can read exactly what is happening.
